All of our studies take place on the Georgia Tech campus in Midtown Atlanta. The Child Study Lab is located in the CODA building, a creative workplace that combines cutting-edge research labs, communal workspaces, event spaces and restaurants. Our lab’s space includes a bright, child-friendly room filled with toys, similar to what you might find at daycare or pediatric office.
During a typical study, you and your child will visit the Child Study Lab for at least an hour and a half, during which an experienced member of our research staff will engage your child in a playful interaction. We will have a couple of cameras set up throughout the room and may ask your child to wear a small bracelet on the wrist or ankle that records movement and other body responses.
